The progress of Porto Franco development into the next stage was celebrated on 19 December with the topping-out ceremony. At the ceremony, we thanked building contractors \u2013 NOBE and Kontek Int AS \u2013 for the successful year that saw the first building reaching its maximum height: 24 metres from the ground level. Citybox Tallinn hotel that will be situated in the Porto Franco I building will be opened during the second half of 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Following the tradition, the wreath was brought down by Rauno Teder, the Chair of the Management Board of Port Franco. \u2018The topping-out ceremony celebrates the fact that the first building has risen to its maximum height, and we express our gratitude to the builders for performing the work at a normal pace, so that we can keep the schedule \u2013 we intend to complete the construction of the first building in the autumn of the coming year,\u2019 said Rauno Teder, the Chair of the Management Board of Port Franco.<\/p>\n

\u2018The next event in this building will be the opening ceremony of the hotel \u2013 it is a busy time for us, the hotel will be opened in just over eighteen months,\u2019 noted Teele Lepp, the head of Citybox Tallinn. \u2018Citybox hotels are designed for those who are looking for a place in the city centre to stay overnight in a stylish room and with top-notch technology. 2019 will see the opening of the Porto Franco I building with the Citybox Tallinn hotel (with the lobby on the 1st floor and the rooms on 3rd to 5th floor) and the hotel caf\u00e9 (on the 1st floor).<\/p>\n

Citybox Tallinn Hotel will have 272 rooms, incl. single and double, family rooms and suites. The total leased area in the hotel is 8,575 m2. Citybox\u00a0AS\u00a0\u00a0started their business in 2006. The first Citybox hotel was opened in Bergen, the second largest city of Norway. In 2017 Citybox Bergen was expanded to feature 120 rooms. Citybox Oslo was opened in 2013, and it was further expanded in 2019, when the number of rooms was increased to 341. In early 2019 the second and the third hotel with 144 rooms will open in Bergen, where Citybox has turned out to be very popular. Citybox Tallinn is the first strategic step for opening Citybox hotels in major European capital cities.<\/p>\n
